The modern city is not adapted for a happy and high-grade life - opposite, we are adapting our lives for it. You will be helped to define, what should be your inhabitancy by the questionnaire of participant of the SESAM 008; please, familiarize with the rules of participation before filling and sending it.

To receive satisfaction from the work and to bring a real advantage, the architect should learn to design with no stereotypes. To learn, how to search for solutions outside of the field of the saved up experience - that's the topic of the SESAM 008.

 We have decided to change the standard of carrying out SESAM. The tutor - controller will not be fixed behind every group of 3-6 participants. The only stimulus for participants will be their own interest - and differently what for to come on SESAM?

First of all, it is necessary to participants to leave the developed stereotype of city. You will be helped with it by an information overload of first two days of the project. You will be overloaded by:

At what here a zen? Paradoxally and mutually sel-exclusive models of development of cities - or even of their disappearances - beating out ground of stereotypes from under your legs the same as koans of zen - tha is for the sake of what we want to hold the SESAM 008

 Having refused the shepherd's supervision from tutors, we can expand geography of lectures, discussions and consultations: so, Dmitry Suhin (see above) will contact us from Rotterdam.

Cooperating in workshops, participants will choose most interesting of the problems put in questionnaires of participants so that each workshop will work to solve one problem - in any scale and any level of detalisation.
 

For example: in the questionnaire it is specified, that the participant considers necessary an opportunity to move on city on a bicycle without dependence from a season. Various variants of the solution of a problem are discussed: from change of a climate to the refuse of use of cars. The optimal solution - construction of system of covered bicycle ways - is rendered.

Note: in this example the problem is solved mediocrely, that leaves chance of its more interesting solution at SESAM 008

 Actually, the architecture has always been closely connected with technology. It has got stuck in the past because it has limited it's perception of technology with construction only. But the wery time of it has passed.

 All workshops make out the offers in a uniform graphic format to make the metaproject of them (ity of the near future what it can become if we'll refuse historically developed stereotypes) during the final discussion.
